Greenwood's Superintendent Talks School of Recognition Award, Part 2

Thursday, September 11th, 2014 -- 11:20 AM

-Several area schools districts received the Title I School of Recognition award.

One of those schools is the Greenwood Elementary School. Greenwood?s Superintendent, Jennifer Vogler, said that Greenwood?s continued success goes back to the commitment of academic success for all of their students.

"It goes back to the commitment we have for outstanding academic success for all of our students K-12," said Miss Vogler. "Our faculty members are very committed to helping their students achieve their academic success. They're doing whatever they can to move them forward and it all comes by working together in our elementary building and in our middle/high school building."

"We've implemented the Response to Intervention Program. This is a program to help all of our students, but also to help our students that might need a little bit of additional instruction in specific areas. We started that in our elementary building with some key leaders and then we moved it into our middle school and now Mr. Fischer has moved that into our high school as well. So, it's another key to help our students be successful and continue to move them forward."

Some other area school districts recognized with this award include Granton, Owen-Withee and Abbotsford.
