Owen-Withee School Board Meets New Teachers

-The Owen-Withee School Board met with the district?s new teachers before their meeting on Monday evening.New teachers Ashley Lange and Randi Rondorf were on hand and introduced to the board. Individual board members introduced themselves and welcomed the new teachers to the staff. Frankie Soto, the new Head of Food Service was unable to attend the meeting, but he?ll be introduced at the October meeting. Laura Koehler, the third new teacher, was introduced to the board at the August meeting.
For old business, the board discussed the Annual Meeting held on August 25th. The board was pleased with the slightly larger crowd that attended and the discussion that ensued regarding the representation on the board, which included rural, Owen and Withee VS at large members.
Suggestions that were made included moving the meeting to the high school IMC for comfort reasons and providing some kind of snack/refreshment at the end of the meeting to promote discussion and socialization after the meeting.
For the Annual Meeting, all the items on Owen-Withee?s Agenda were passed unanimously which included the tax levy, authorizing short-term borrowing, board members? salaries, provide school lunches, disposal of equipment and student accident insurance.
