Dorchester Man Charged with Killing Puppies with a Sledgehammer

-A Dorchester man has been charged in Marathon County Court for killing eight three-day old puppies with a sledgehammer.According to investigators, the incident happened on August 9th in the Town of Holton. The puppies were the offspring of 68-year-old Terrence Seubert?s Blue Heeler. Seubert said he distracted the dog with food, put the puppies in a bucket and dropped the sledgehammer on them. He also said he placed them in a bucket of water for 20 minutes before burying them.
Even though a witness to the crime said that homes for some of the puppies had already been located, Seubert killed the puppies anyway and said that the price of spaying his dog was too high and he didn?t want a bunch of puppies.
Seubert has 8 felony charges filed against him and he?s free on a $1,500 signature bond. He?s not allowed to have any contact with domestic animals. He?ll be back in court later this month and if convicted of the maximum amount in this case, he could spend 28 years in prison.
