Man Sets Off Large Firecracker In Crowded Bar

Thursday, September 4th, 2014 -- 10:08 AM

According to Clark County Sheriff?s Department officials, a 45-year-old man set off a ?large firecracker? in a crowded bar early Sunday morning sending four people to the hospital.

Waow.com is reporting that Chief Deputy Jim Hirsch didn't know the exact size of the firecracker. He says the man told authorities he had been drinking before he bought the firecracker from the bartender at RC Roadhouse Bar in Granton.

Officials say they don't know exactly how much the man had to drink and that a window was broken in the explosion. Officials said no one suffered permanent damage but the four people complained of ear pain.

Officials say the man who set off the firecracker told authorities on scene that he did it, but he was not sure why he set it off. The suspect was not arrested at the time, but sheriff's department officials are recommending that he be charged with disorderly conduct.

As of Thursday morning, no charges had been filed.
