One Dead In Accident Near Edgar

According to Marathon County Sheriff's Department officials, one person has died after a crash involving two vehicles and an ATV in the Town of Rib Falls.The crash, according to sheriff's officials, happened around 9:40 p.m. last night on the westbound lane of Highway 29 near Edgar.
According to the officials, the driver of an ATV was pronounced dead on the scene. One vehicle driver was transported for minor injuries. The other vehicle driver was not injured.
Traffic was detoured for several hours. All lanes reopened around 2:30 this morning.
With that fatality, 6 lives were lost on Wisconsin roads during Labor Day Weekend based on early reports from the Wisconsin DOT; there were 10 deaths in 2013.
