Jackson County Woman Charged with Child Abuse

-A Jackson County woman has been charged with physical abuse of a child after striking an 8-year-old girl several times.According to court documents, police were called to a home at 202 Main Street in Black River Falls. The girl claims she was punched and slapped by 66-year-old Fye Smith several times. Smith was watching the girl at the time.
If convicted Smith could spend 6 years in prison.
