Marshfield Woman Charged with Child Abuse After Biting a Child

-A 33-year-old Marshfield woman will appear in Wood County Court in a few weeks for biting a child.According to court records, 33-year-old Amanda Weinfurter and a 5-year-old child got into an argument about what the child would wear to school back in May. Weinfurter became upset because the child didn?t want to wear the clothes she had picked out.
In her frustration, Weinfurter admitted that she bit the child on the upper arm, causing the child to cry, because she was frustrated and angry.
Weinfurter has been charged with child abuse and, if convicted, she could face a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison. She?ll make her initial appearance in court on September 15th.
