Tomah Man Arrested for Firing a Gun at a Bar

A Tomah man was arrested after he fired a gun at a bar.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, there was a commotion at a tavern on Main Street in Tomah.  52-year-old Curtis Goulet then went to his truck, grabbed a pistol and fired two shots before he left the scene.

A State Patrol Trooper saw Goulet’s truck on State Highway 131 near County Highway Road A.  Officers tried to stop him, but he fled from them. Officers used a tire deflation device, but Goulet was still able to get to his home before he was arrested.

Goulet is facing charges of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering safety, operating a firearm while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense, fleeing an officer, and disorderly conduct.
