Neillsville City Council Report

The Neillsville City Council heard several committee reports during their meeting on Tuesday.During the Historic Preservation Meeting, the owners of the Gates House asked that their home be placed on the local historic landmark register. The committee approved starting this process. Also, they continued to discuss the Historic Walking Tour Brochures and the work being done on those.
The council also heard a brief report from the Board of Review that occurred on May 19th. The board of review examines the 2014 assessment rolls for errors. There were no errors or objections.
Finally, the council heard the Heritage Days report. The committee continued to discuss events happening downtown before the parade and they approved ordering items, like can coolers, Frisbees and t-shirts, to give away as prizes seeing as this year is Heritage Day?s 20th Anniversary.
They also discussed beverage options, raffle tickets and prizes, the number of candidates for Miss Neillsville, food and more
