Greenwood School Board Approves Summer School Contracts

-The Greenwood School Board approved the Summer School and Recreation Contracts at their meeting last week.Summer School for Greenwood is 10 days, June 16th-27th with class from 8am to 3pm.
As of last week?s meeting, the number of students enrolled included 5 incoming Kindergarten students, 9 outgoing Kindergarten students, eight 1st graders, six 2nd graders, eight 3rd graders, seven 4th graders, five 5th and 6th graders and six students for the Kitchen Mechanic class. This is the 1st summer Greenwood is offering the Kitchen Mechanic Class.
The board also approved two teacher?s aides for the Kindergarten teacher and approved the hiring of a second session summer swimming lessons adviser for the bus.
The board also approved the summer contracts for the handful of teachers teaching the classes and approved several recreation contracts for sports like little league, fast pitch, Babe Ruth and more.
