Marshfield Intersection Closed for Study

-Starting this morning, a controversial intersection in Marshfield will be closed.The intersection is located at Maple Avenue and crosses the railroad tracks. Several train vs. car accidents have occurred at this location within the past several months.
It was recommended by the Office of Commissioner of Railroads to close the intersection and conduct a study on the site. The City of Marshfield is looking for public opinion regarding the closure. There is a survey posted on the city?s website for those affected by the closure.
There is no detour posted for this closing and it will be closed for 3 weeks.
