Owen-Withee School Board Approves Open Enrollment Applications

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved the open enrollment applications they received at their meeting last week.Each year the board must approve the applications of students who are applying to enter the Owen-Withee district through open enrollment. This year four new students applied and the Board approved those applications.
District Administrator Bob Houts also presented to the board the application for the WIAA membership that needs to be completed each year. Cost to the district this year is $600. The board approved WIAA membership of the 2014-15 school year.
Finally, because of the potential change in the Dean of Students position at Owen-Withee, not many changes in teaching assignment were available. Mr. Houts did notify the board that job postings for an elementary teacher and 2 jr/sr high special education teachers have been posted on the DPI?s website. Applications for those positions are due by May 15th.
