Counties Ranked in Terms of Tourism Dollars

-A new report on the state?s tourism shows how 'Wisconsin's' counties rank in terms of tourism dollars.The Wausau/Central Wisconsin Convention and Visitors Bureau held its 2014 Tourism Summit at the Grand Theater Tuesday. Tourism spending around the state is around $17 billion dollars.
Clark County is ranked 55th out of the state?s 72 counties in terms of tourism dollars. However, as it was mentioned at the recent Clark County Economic Development Corporation?s annual meeting, that is a vast improvement in the past several years when Clark County was almost dead last.
In terms of our surrounding counties, Chippewa County is 34th, Eau Claire County is 16th, Jackson County is 50th, Wood County is 32nd, Marathon County is 9th and Taylor County is 59th.
