Memorial Medical Center Creates Strategic Plan for Moving Forward, Part 2

In moving the hospital forward, Memorial Medical Center has come up with a strategic plan suited for their situation.The plan consists of four parts: access to care, services developed, community partnership, and financial strategies.
When it comes to access to care, some current initiatives the hospital is working on include an outpatient clinic hour expansion to 7pm 5 days a week, add on appointments in which a physician ?fits in? a patient who may be sick and wants to see their provider that day, but the physician?s schedule is full and renovating the Greenwood Clinic.
For services developed, some current initiatives include establishing the role of Pediatric Medical Director and a walk-ins/quick clinic model for Greenwood and Loyal. Some initiatives they've already completed hiring Dr. Sharon Wayward as a full time general surgeon and defining their services like surgical services, orthopedics, occupational health and more.
