Clark County Sheriff's Department Collects Nearly 110 Pounds of Unwanted Medication During Drug Take Back Initiative

-The Clark County Sheriff?s Department collected nearly 110 pounds of medication from the recent drug take back initiative.

The drug take back initiative was held nationwide on Saturday, April 26th. The Sheriff?s Department had two collections sites in the county. One was at Gordy?s County Market here in Neillsville and another at Scott and Lori?s Family Foods in Owen.

83 people used the site here in Neillsville and another 40 used the site in Owen and the department was able to collect close to 110 pounds of pharmaceutical drugs.

The Clark County Sheriff, Greg Herrick, said that the department will be participating in the fall collection as well.
