One Person Killed in Jackson County Accident

-One person has died in an accident involving a car and a semi in Jackson County on Monday.The accident happened around 10:40 on State Highway 54 and Ellis Road in the Town of City Point, east of Black River Falls.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff?s Department, it appears the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and continued through the intersection onto Highway 54. The semi then slammed into the vehicle.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and the semi driver was uninjured.
The Jackson County Sheriff?s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol are continuing to investigate the accident. It is not known whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
