Members of the Clark County Relay for Life Holding an Adult Prom

-Members of the Clark County Relay for life have come up with a new and interesting idea to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.Michelle Mitte, a member of the Clark County Relay for Life, said they?ll be holding an adult prom at Apple Valley Bar and Restaurant on Saturday, May 3rd.
Michelle said, "The adult prom is going to be held May 3rd at Apple Valley Bar and Restaurant over on Highway 10 in Neillsville. It starts at 7pm and goes all the way through to 11pm. It's $10 to get in, per ticket. And that automatically enters you into raffle prizes for certain ones. We're going to have a DJ, it's just going to be a lot of fun. A lot of dancing, hopefully. We also have two big ticket raffles. We have a TV, that was donated, and we also have a Packer football which was donated directly from the Green Bay Packers this year. And it has the signatures of the 2013 coaching staff and the players."
Now, as it is an adult prom, you must be 21 and older to attend. All the funds raised will benefit the Clark County Relay for Life being held in Greenwood.
"This year the Clark County Relay for Life is going to be held in Greenwood on June 6th and 7th," said Michelle. "It goes over night and 100% of those proceeds go to benefit the American Caner Society. So our relay team, Banking on a Cure, is also donating 100% of the proceeds to the Relay for Life Organization."
Michelle talked about where they got this unique idea from.
Michelle laughed, "We were just talking at work one day, actually, and one of the other teams had put together a different event, so we were talking about doing a larger event to hit our team goal. And I actually, jokingly, said 'well, let's throw an adult prom!' Because I wanted something that Neillsville hadn't really seen before, that, I thought, might get a little interest. And I actually didn't think the girls, on the team, would go for it, but they did and here we are!"
Once again the adult prom is being held at the Apple Valley Bar and Restaurant on Saturday, May 3rd from 7pm-11pm. Tickets are $10.00 and you can purchase those at Apple Valley or BMO Harris Bank.
