Fairchild Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Minor

-An 18-year-old Fairchild man was sentenced for sexual assault of a minor.Towards the end of 2013, 18-year-old Christopher Wampole Jr. and his father, 41-year-old Christopher Wampole Sr. had sexual assault of a minor charges filed against them after an incident involving a 15-year-old girl. The girl allegedly agreed to meet the son for sex, but the father and the son had sex with her.
The two men had additional charges filed against them including possession of child pornography and exposing a child to harmful material after they traded nude photos with the girl.
Wampole Jr. was found guilty of 4th degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor, and child enticement-sexual contact and two counts of exposing a child to harmful material, both felonies.
Wampole Jr. was sentenced to 90 days in prison, however, 60 of those days were stayed depending on successful completion of his probation, meaning if he keeps his nose clean, he won?t serve those days, and Wampole Jr. was given the option of 240 community service hours in lieu of the remaining 30 days in jail. He chose the former. He will be on probation for 3 years and he owes the courts $528.00.
