19-Year-Old Turns Himself Into Marshfield Police for Causing a Standoff Last Week

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 -- 8:28 AM

-A Marshfield man who ran from officers after a standoff last Tuesday has turned himself into the Marshfield Police Department.

On Tuesday of last week, the Marshfield Police Department closed off several roads in the city when they tried to arrest a 19-year-old that had a connection with a burglary investigation the department was conducting. The 19-year-old fled into a home on Adler Road, armed himself with a knife and refused to talk with the police.

Police were able to get inside and search the home, but, by that time, the suspect was gone and they were unable to find him. He turned himself into the police on Friday. The department arrested him and questioned him about several burglaries that happened in Marshfield and Spencer.

The man was released after his questioning and no charges have been filed at this time. The Marshfield Police Department is continuing the investigation into the burglaries.
