Red Cross Blood Drive Held at Neillsville American Legion Collects 106 Pints of Blood

-The Red Cross Blood Drive held at the Neillsville American Legion on Monday collected 106 pints of life saving blood.

Appreciation is extended to the many caring blood donors and volunteers within the community. Because of them, the Red Cross was able to collect 106 pints of life saving blood which has the potential to save the lives of over 318 patients.

Of those giving blood several individuals reached totals into the gallons amount. James Filitz has donated 17 gallons and 11 gallons was given by Aaron Yoder and Jenny Kronbuger. Gloria Hamm gave 10 gallons, Mary Du Bois gave 8 gallons and Carol Pedersen and Joe Borntreger donated 5 gallons. Lavern Brubacker gave 2 gallons while Joseph Zook, Darlene Bilby and Joe Galetka all gave a gallon.

16 workers from Cummins in Neillsville also came to donate and help make the day a success and some first time donors at the event included Michael White, James Kierman and Clayton Seubert.
