BloodCenter of Wisconsin and Neillsville High School Hosting Blood Drive Today

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 -- 8:15 AM

-The BloodCenter of Wisconsin and Neillsville High School are hosting a blood drive today.

The blood drive is at the Neillsville High School from 9am to 2pm. Walk-ins are welcome.

While donors of all blood types can make a life-saving impact, there is an especially great need for O negative, A negative and B negative donors. O negative blood is of critical importance, as it is the universal donor and the blood type given to newborn babies and people in emergency situations. BloodCenter is asking for the communities help to continue to provide blood donations to area hospital patients who depend on them.

Anyone 16 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.

Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
