Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford Celebrates New Remodel

-The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford celebrated their new remodel with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.I spoke with Kevin Hanson, the Funeral Director and Owner, and he talked about the work that was done.
Kevin said, "We recently remodeled the chapel. They just finished this week. I wanted the more colorful and warm reception area for people to come into. I think our builder understood what I wanted and he came through. I'm really happy with how it turned out."
Kevin talked about why he felt the remodel was necessary.
"Mainly because we had some issues in the chapel and I like color," said Kevin. "The ceiling was dropping because of previous problems with the roof. The wallpaper was starting to peal and it was hard to keep repairing that. Our focus area, when people come, is that chapel and I wanted it to look very inviting, very welcoming to people and something I'm proud of and not ashamed of."
Kevin knows that when they help you, it will be a difficult time in your life, but they will do everything they can to make things easier.
Kevin said, "We're going to continue to give you great service. Unfortunately, it will be during the worst time of you life, but we will be here when ever you need us and you can all us any time."
