Loyal School Board Approves Staff Handbook Change

-The Loyal School Board approved an addition to the support staff handbook.All staff members can now watch their own kids perform at school activities such as a choir concert without being docked pay.
The district also agreed to participate, for another year, in a consortium with surrounding schools to provide their seniors the opportunity to earn college credits at NTC in the afternoons.
The board also renewed the district?s contract sharing their food service director with Spencer and Abbottsford and they decided that food service staff do not have to wear their name badges while preparing food.
Finally, the board had the second reading of their Youth Options Program Policy, Employment of the District Administrator Policy, Fixed Asset Policy, Visitors to School Policy and Transportation by Private Vehicle Policy. A third reading is still required next month for adoption.
