Neillsville School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators? Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Tim Rueth reported on attendance and he mentioned the March 3rd and March 31st inclement weather make-up days. He also mentioned March 28th being the end of the 3rd Quarter. Finally, Mr. Rueth talked about the Seal-A-Smile Program being held on April 3rd, an education program on Wisconsin cooperatives, MAP testing in early April, the Reading Olympics and the Literacy Leadership Team?s search for a new reading program.

High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, gave a scheduling update, talked about the Academic Letter Ceremony and mentioned the 7th & 8th Grade field trip to Bruce Mound. Mr. Anderson also talked about the winter sports celebration and assembly, the Cloverbelt Scholar banquet and the 8th Grade field trip to Madison.

District Administrator John Gaier reported on many items including a class action law suit, a DPI waiver for the Feb. 14th school closure, an update on the 180 Day bill, an article regarding school start dates, a donation of Epi-Pens and a report on student lunch counts.

He continued and mentioned the upcoming Clark County Schools Forum, the DPI?s annual staff report, an article on declining enrollment in Clark County schools, legislation to create a model standards board, an opinion piece from Mike Haynes at CESA 10, a blog post on Common Core Standards and an article on ex-Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen.

Finally, Mr. Gaier talked about two Focus articles, a water leak, the upcoming Medford Legislative Meeting, the recent WIAA State Girls? Basketball Tournament, a Bruce Mound field trip, an insurance claim, an upcoming Business After 5, the Blueprint for Prosperity and a Fond Du Lac Reporter article on an upcoming referendum.
