Building Upgrades and Donations at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved two donations and some building upgrades at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a donation of $2,000.00 from the Shopko Foundation and a donation from author Michael Zurfluh of his book The Truth About Money.
For building upgrades, the board approved door and fascia replacements by Marawood Construction for $38,626.00 and plumbing upgrades by Suda Plumbing for $9,060.00. The board also approved the purchase of a van from Urban Sales & Service for $21,375.00 and approved the hockey co-op renewal for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years.
In employment matters the board approved the retirement of Ellen Rickard from her kindergarten teaching position at the end of this school year and approved the resignation of Megan Schroeder from her MS/HS guidance counselor position at the end of this school year. The board also approved the hiring of Mike Pekol, Dominic Capadora and Eric Custer as assistant football coaches.
Finally, the board approved the initial adoption of Policy Section B, Board of Education Governance and Operations, and Policy Section H, Negotiations.
