Clark County Board Passes Several Resolutions

Several resolutions came before the Clark County Board at its March meeting.The board approved a resolution entering into a Land Use Agreement with the Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire District. The fire district would like to put a pipe on county land near Sportsmen Lake in Owen. This pipe would allow them to draw water from the lake in case of fire. There will be little disturbance to the land when the pipe is put in, which the Fire District will due and the Town of Hixton will pay for the cost of the maintenance to keep the pipe clear of grass and other debris. The vote was 25 yes, 0 no and 1 abstained.
The board also approved a resolution to allow a new ordinance to have the 1st and 2nd reading on the same night as long as a board member makes the motion to allow it.
Another resolution approved offered the board?s condolences to the family of Phillip Boehning a former Clark County Board of Supervisor.
The board also approved the appointment of Anthony Ring to the Community Department Board. He replaces Gayle Beisner.
A Sheriff?s Office Fees resolution was sent back to the Law Enforcement Committee as it needs more time.
