Greenwood School Board Talks Make-Up Days

-The Greenwood School Board discussed their make-up days brought on by this wild, winter weather we?ve been facing.Greenwood has one day and three hours to make up per the Department of Public Instruction?s rules on districts needing 180 days of teaching to get state aid. The board did not decide on when or how they?re going to make that up during their meeting. They decided they wanted to wait and see what kind of weather March is going to bring yet before deciding on the make-up time.
The board also approved the resignation of High School Social Studies Teacher Brandon Petersen and approved Jennifer Baker as a volunteer. They also approved a donation of toy trucks from Michelle Brenner to the elementary.
Finally, the board approved a field trip for Mrs. Kate Boos Spanish Club to the Festival of Nations, a letter was shared from a parent recognizing the success of the Greenwood School District and the board heard a presentation from the district?s auditor.
