Most Clark County Towns Have Residents Running Their Water

Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 -- 1:09 PM

-A handful of Clark County cities are asking their residents to run their water as the harsh Winter continues on.

Neillsville, Granton, Greenwood, Owen, Thorp and Abbotsford have all asked their residents to continue to run a thin stream of cold water, the size of a pencil lead, in their homes, business or both.

The bitter cold temperatures this Winter have pushed frost levels abnormally deep this year. Even though it may be warmer outside, that frost is still down there, surrounding the pipes.

Many cities have asked their residents to run their water until April 1st or until they are instructed otherwise. The cities are also going to adjust customer?s water bills so they are not getting charged for the extra usage.

If you have any further questions, please contact your city hall or utility department.
