Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their recent meeting.

Athletic Director/Dean of Students Jenni Mayenschein provided an update on the Fall Sports season. Football season has 1 more game scheduled November 13th. Volleyball season ended at the regional level. Alayne Artac earned 2nd Team All-Conference and Celine Wuethrich, Honorable Mention; Cross Country-Avrey Horvath qualified and ran at the State Cross Country Meet. Winter Sport seasons will be starting over the next couple of weeks.  District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided a political update.  He stated that election results didn’t change much.  He also stated the governor’s mask order is scheduled to expire on November 21st.

Mr. Felhofer also stated policy 8450.01 to be reviewed later can provide continuity in this area. Also, board members up for re-election in the spring are Jerome Krempasky and Dean Lindner. Also, many County Health Departments are expressing concerns about the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and possible effects the approaching holidays and hunting season may present. Finally, the administrative team will be meeting with a consultant regarding a possible FEMA grant, the WASB Convention will be virtual and the registration information has been posted.
