Clark County Schools Forum, Part 1

-The Clark County Schools Forum was held in Owen-Withee on Monday evening.The purpose of the forum gives the district administrators and board members of the local schools, such as Neillsville, Loyal, Greenwood, Owen-Withee and more, the opportunity to expand their knowledge on educational topics as well as to identify ways they can have a positive impact on education in Clark County.
This meeting also allows them to continue to work on the Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant Time Bound Goals, or SMART Goals, they set. Two of their goals have already been achieved which included the Clark County Education Summit held in 2013 and having direct contact with state legislators, which is also an ongoing goal.
A goal they continue to work on is to educate students for the 21st Century Workforce by keeping up to date on local economic development and exploring programs with local tech colleges.
By holding a forum like this and hearing all the positive things happening in the local school districts, it helps the boards work together and put a collaborative effort together to meet the challenges rural schools face.
