Budget Update and New Phone System Discussed During Loyal School Board Meeting

-The Loyal School Board discussed a budget update and a new phone system at their meeting on Wednesday.The district is looking into an internet-based phone system that would not add any expense to what they currently do. The board was also informed that the budget for this year looks good, but next year will be tight due to increasing health insurance costs and adding a 6th grade teacher. Changes will need to be made during the following year.
The Loyal School District is also going to start offering Athletic Passes to graduates that complete a survey. If Loyal graduates fill out a survey regarding their current situation and how Loyal contributed in preparing for their life after high school, they will get a free pass to Loyal?s athletic events.
The board also heard a report about the recent State School Board Convention held in Milwaukee.
