Neillsville City Council Approves the Final Step for the New Utility Bill Auto Pay Option

Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 -- 12:57 PM

-The Neillsville City Council gave Mayor Steve Mabie and Clerk-Treasurer Rex Roehl the final approval to allow BMO Harris to put the final touches on Neillsville?s new auto pay utility bill option.

The approval of the council gave Mayor Mabie and Mr. Roehl the go ahead to sign the document that establishes a Global Treasury Management Service Master Agreement with BMO Harris Bank. Now the city, if you choose, can pull what you owe for the quarterly water bill out of your account. They also established a line of credit in case the funds are not available when the due date comes.

Also, the council approved a bid for the lot at 108 West 15th Street. Two bids came in, one from Barb Shaw for $7,502 and the other from Bruce Rakestraw for $7,500. Rex Roehl informed the council that the city has about $12,594 stuck into it. The council approved the bid from Barb Shaw and it was noted that $7,500 was a good price for that particular lot.
