City of Thorp Hopes to Begin Water Sampling Thursday

-The City of Thorp is still experiencing a problem that Neillsville resident will find all too familiar.Thorp is currently under a water emergency as four different water main leaks have affected the city. The leaks have been repaired and the water level in the city's water tower is climbing. Unless another significant break occurs or other issues arise, the City of Thorp is confident that the water tower issue will soon be resolved.
The boil and bottled water order will stand until the system can be sanitized, which they hope to do today, and the appropriate number of safe water samples are taken, which they hope to start Thursday.
The City of Thorp anticipates the order will last into the weekend at least.
