City of Thorp Still Experiencing Water Issues

-The City of Thorp is still experiencing a problem that Neillsville resident will find all too familiar.Thorp is currently under a water emergency as four different water main leaks have affected the city. The leaks have been repaired or progress is at least being made on them and the water level in the tower is climbing. Unless another significant break occurs or other issues arise, the City of Thorp is confident that the water tower issue will soon be resolved.
The boil and bottled water order will stand until all the leaks are repaired, the system can be sanitized, and the appropriate number of safe water samples are taken. The City of Thorp anticipates it will last into the weekend at least.
In the meantime, there is still a supply of bottled water available at City Hall for those unable to locate or afford their own and extended evening hours at City Hall are being arranged to facilitate distribution.
