City of Thorp Under a Water Emergency

-The City of Thorp is experiencing a problem that Neillsville residents will find all too familiar.Thorp is currently under a water emergency as a significant water main leak has affected the city. The city?s wells are unable to keep up and the water tower has drained. Many residents may be experiencing low water pressure or no water at all.
The public works department in Thorp is looking for the leak and residents are encouraged to avoid using water. However, if residents still have water, they are asked to continue running a small stream to help fight off frozen pipes and keep another major leak from happening.
Also, all residents are being told to boil any water they?re able to get from the tap in case of any contamination.
