-The Neillsville School Board approved the Summer School courses for 2014.A change to this year?s Summer School session will be the return to 4 straight weeks as opposed to the split weeks the district tried last year. The first two weeks were in June last summer and the next two were in August. However, the district saw a significant decrease in students the two weeks in August, but it was mentioned that the district could split some of their programs.
The board also approved the 2014-2015 School Course Guide. High School Principal Craig Anderson went through and updated the guide. All-in-all, one Ag class was pulled. The class was Equine Science, which, the ag teacher admitted, nobody has ever participated in the class.
Also, some of the Family and Consumer Education classes may be pulled, but they were all left in for now to see what kind of interest they generate from students.
