Alice in Dairyland Visits Clark County on Tuesday

-Alice in Dairyland, Kristin Olson, made another stop in Clark County on Tuesday as the county prepares to host the 2014 67th Alice in Dairyland finals in May.Kristin?s first stop was at the FairBridge Inn and Suites in Thorp. There she spoke with Thorp Tourism Officials, Thorp City Officials and members of the Alice in Dairyland Committee. The City of Thorp donated $3,500 to the Alice Committee to use for the upcoming finals.
From there Alice heard about the amazing expansion taking place at Holland?s Family Cheese. Holland?s is building a new facility right off of Highway 29 in Thorp. She also heard about Throp?s Amazing Grazing Cows. These 12 life sized cows are decorated in different styles including a patriotic, cardinal, cheese cow and more.
The highlight of Kristen?s morning was her time spent with the Thorp and Owen-Withee Kindergarten classes. Kristen read them a story, told them what she does as Alice and answered their unique questions.
Kristen also spoke with the Kindergarteners at Abbotsford and Colby and she went to Dorchester to meet with Heartland Cooperative Services and Omega Valley Farmers Committees.
