Phy Ed Bill Discussed at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-A new Phy Ed Bill was discussed at last week?s Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.District Administrator Bob Houts informed the Board of this bill which would require all elementary students to have 30 minutes of physical education each day. Currently, Owen-Withee students get
45 minutes a day, twice each week. However, a concern for the district is that they would need to hire another P.E. teacher and create some new facilities or schedule whole grades together for P.E. which would put 35-40 students in each class.
The bill is still in committee and being discussed in Madison.
