Friday, February 14th, 2014 -- 12:59 PM

-The Neillsville City Council heard an Officer?s Report from Neillsville Police Chief Brad Lindner on Tuesday.

Chief Lindner commented on a lengthy investigation they?re working on regarding a battery incident in the city. He also mentioned an officer resigning from the department.

Chief Lindner also said that their new officer is doing well. He is currently in the ?Shadow Phase? in which he?ll be working alone, but another senior, full-time Neillsville officer will be on call in case he needs assistance. Chief Lindner said he?s progressing nicely.

Finally, there was a brief mention about the lawsuit regarding the shooting that occurred in mid-December in Neillsville. The charges have been filed with the Clark County District Attorney and Chief Lindner is not expecting to hear anything until the beginning of March.
