Medford Man Charged for Standoff

-A Medford man has been arrested after a standoff with the Taylor County Sheriff?s Department and multiple other agencies.According to the Taylor County Sheriff?s Department, they received a report around 12:45pm at the end of January. The man entered a residence and fired the weapon through a window. After authorities arrived a one hour standoff ensued. Authorities were able to make contact with the man, identified as 42-year-old Timothy Phillips of Medford. He said he was going to commit suicide by cop.
Finally, authorities persuaded him to come out of the home, drop the weapon and surrender.
Phillips has been charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety, resisting an officer, operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
