Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Chimney Fire Tuesday Afternoon

-The Neillsville Fire Department was called to a chimney fire on Tuesday afternoon.Neillsville Fire Chief, Matt Meyer, said they received the call just after 5:20. The fire occurred at N6985 Larsons Avenue in the Township of Weston.
When the department arrived the chimney was venting and the department cleaned the chimney and used no water. There was no structural damage and no smoke damage with just a minor amount of smoke in the home. The department checked everything to make sure there was no fire extension.
They were on scene for half an hour, there were no injuries on their part and they received some assistance from the Clark County Sheriff?s Department.
