Clark County Sheriff's Department Investigating Drowning Incident Near Owen

-The Clark County Sheriff?s Department is investigating a drowning incident that occurred near Owen.

On Monday, December 23rd just after 11:30am, the Clark County Sheriff?s Department received a call of a possible drowning near the intersection of Pesldorf Avenue and Center Road in the Township of Hoard.

According to the department, an initial investigation indicates that a skid loader was operated by a 13-year-old boy on an ice covered pond, which was being cleared of snow, when the skid loader broke through the ice.

A family member discovered the boy after they became concerned and went out looking for him. The boy was pronounced dead at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield.

The Clark County Sheriff?s Department and Coroner?s Office is investigating the incident.
