Pond Drowning in Clark County

Clark County authorities are investing a drowning of a 13 year old skid loader operator. A 9-1-1 call was received at 11:38 am on December 23rd of a possible drowning near the intersection of Pelsdorf Avenue and Center Road in the Township of Hoard.An initial investigation indicates that a skid loader was being operated by a 13 year old clearing snow from an ice covered pond when the skid steer broke through the ice. The 13 year old was pronounced dead at St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield. The Clark County Sheriff's Department and Coroner's Office is continuing the investigation.
