Several Resolutions Passed at Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting

-Several resolutions were passed at the Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting on Wednesday evening.The first was giving authorization to the Clark County Circuit Court Judge to place juveniles in a juvenile detention facility or juvenile portion of the county jail, if need be. During that time, if the juvenile?s stay is more than 30 days, the county department will offer the juvenile treatments for alcohol or other drug abuse. This was reviewed by the Social Services Department and State Statute allows the board to do this. This was approved with all 28 present voting yes.
The next resolution passed was approving the updated HIPPA Policy. The Corporation Counsel for Clark County has modified the HIPPA policy to reflect the recent updates and he can make any changes to the policy, as deemed necessary, as long as he gets approval from the board. This was approved with 28 voting yes and 1 voting no.
