Mayoral Appointments of Election Officials at Owen City Council Meeting

-Several important items were discussed at the Owen City Council Meeting.Public Works Director for Owen, Gary Smith, reported that the department has been busy plowing snow. Smith did mention that he was worried about the older dump trucks hoping they?d last another season.
The council also approved to close out the Upgrade Project at the WWTF and they approved two pay requests to Staab Construction for $104,250.85 and another for $10,000.
The council also gave Gary Smith authorization to proceed in coming to an agreement with Wakefield regarding their discharge.
Finally, the council approved the Mayoral Appointments of Election Officials as listed and increased the pay rate by .25/hour. Those officials include Dennis Lulloff, Art & Alice Feldman, Jim & Dottie Bjornstad, Tom & Virgie Miller, Ethel Mae Kresnik, Emily Makovec, Harriet Laube, Randy Fredrickson, Sandy Nyre, Melvyn Lorence, and Harold & Fern Laube.
