-Several items were discussed during the Personnel Committee Meeting held before the Neillsville City Council Meeting on Tuesday evening. With the resignation of Wade Urban, the committee had to approve the advertising for a new public works employee. The committee and Dave Flynn, Public Works Director, emphasized how important it was for any candidate to be able to integrate into several different areas of the department.
The candidate must also have a Class B CDL and a water and waste water license. The department would be willing to pay for any schooling required to get the license. Where to start the new employee?s pay was also discussed. In the end, the committee settled on $16.00 to $17.00 per hour with a $1 raise after a six month probationary period.
Also, the committee approved the Chapter 14 Employee Access to Medical Records Section of the Employee Handbook. This city always had this, but verbally. A state inspection required the city to have it written up. Both items were then approved during the regular common council meeting.
