Many Important Items Discussed at Granton School Board Meeting

-Many important items were discussed at the Granton School Board Meeting on Monday.The Board heard a presentation on the district Title I services by Kay Heiting, Granton?s Title I Math Teacher, and Jodi Maguire, Granton?s Title I Reading teacher.
The Board approved the second reading of Chapter 7 and 8 of the school board policy and they approved the first reading of chapter 9 sections A - I of the school board policy. Paul Knoff was appointed to delegate the delegate assembly and a request for maternity leave was approved.
A contract for Andy Dean to coach middle school girls basketball was approved and the board reviewed the 2013-2014 football co-op agreement with Greenwood. They also discussed holding a joint meeting with the Greenwood school board to review the co-op agreement.
Finally, the board approved the 2014-2015 budget timeline proposed by the administration, approved the resignation of Monique Coleman from her position as daycare staff and approved the high school choirs request for an out of state/overnight trip to the Dorian Festival.
