Memorial Medical Center Foundation Completes "Caring for our Community" Campaign

-During the holiday season, we often reflect upon our past year and give thanks for the positive things in our lives. This is especially true for staff members at Memorial Medical Center as the Foundation for MMC is proud to announce the completion of our current employee giving campaign ?Caring for our Community.??Each year we ask our staff members to make a donation, through payroll deductions, to the Foundation if they wish. The program is voluntary and aimed at giving back to our community? state Shelley Janke, Foundation Executive Director.
Proceeds from the campaign are used for several initiatives throughout the year. Examples of items funded in the past year with funds raised through employee giving include new baby changing stations in every rest room at MMC, a defibrillator for the clinics, a treadmill and scale for cardiac rehab patients, and diabetic monitoring systems for patients to be able to monitor and control their diabetes.
In total, over $20,000 was collected in pledges from staff member of MMC during the employee giving.
