Wisconsin Rapids Girl Hit By Mini-Van

-A 13-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle in Wisconsin Rapids Friday morning.According to the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, just before 7am the girl was crossing the street on West Grand Avenue near 15th Avenue when she was struck by a mini-van. She was not using a crosswalk.
She was transported to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the mini-van was an adult, but police have not released an further information regarding the driver.
Rapids Police also said that the girl did live in the area, but it is unclear as to why she was crossing the street at the time in the morning. Authorities said she wasn?t going to school.
