Man Accused of Shooting Taylor County Deputy Will Go to Trial

-The man accused of shooting a Taylor County Deputy will be going to trial.Back in September in Westboro, which is north of Medford, Taylor County Sheriff?s Deputy Chad Kowalczyk, originally from Boyd, made contact with 27-year-old Alexander Schneider as a result of a violation regarding a court ordered injunction.
When Kowzlczyk responded to the violation he was shot at several times by Schneider and the deputy?s arm was grazed by a bullet and he was hit in the stomach.
Schneider has several charges filed against him including first degree intentional homicide, bail jumping, possession of a firearm and possession of a short-barreled shotgun.
A judge ordered a trial for Schneider and he will appear back in court in in two weeks.
